I wanted to become an AHA because I like the variety and diversity within the job role, and have always wanted to help people. My therapeutic style is mostly talk therapy based, where I talk to my clients about what has been happening, whilst they are doing something they enjoy, such as arts and crafts or sport. I also incorporate worksheets in my sessions sometimes so we can do the practical side of therapy together, and discuss it. I enjoy working with all age groups and interacting with my clients and their families. The job is very rewarding and I enjoy helping people to achieve their therapeutic goals.
