My inclination to psychology feels natural for me because relational knowledge and understanding have tended to be my preferred method of connecting with others; perhaps this is the intersection of being an Italian, a neurodivergent, and an LGBTQIA+ person! I’m also an artist and use my out-of-box thinking as a creative licence when working with others, it helps me stay flexible and adaptable with different people and therapeutic modalities.
I’m an open, colourful, and compassionate person, and where possible I like to invite laughter into the therapeutic space. As much as I appreciate and welcome earnest conversation, I truly think mindfulness is only as effective when bodyfulness is also equally considered, and sometimes laughter helps to bridge that gap and bring us from the mind and back into our bodies.
Balance is important for me when working with each client’s background, experiences, challenges, and strengths. I hope to support my clients in finding balance between these different aspects of their lives, while developing the capability and capacity to draw upon them as sources of meaning, connection, and growth.
Sometimes you just have to believe it to see it!
